A Month of Microphones

The grip gave me calluses.

Normally they are the outcome of an overdose of pitchforks, potato picking, barbells or too industrious tar-boiling. Mine came from never letting go of the microphone – and no, it was not karaoke.

It started out with a smile and some old school Hollywood glamor.

During January I’ve been interviewing everything that moved.

From old school Hollywood, via Norwegian stand-up artists performing during constant Muslim death threats, to new style Swedish actors and slightly older True Blood vampires, none has escaped my right hand.

Not even being a furry four legged French racing champion, a Swedish Shipping Queen or a Finnish hard worker afraid of words has found mercy when it comes to being put on the spot.

Double Prix d'Amerique winner Franck Nivard. It's always easier interviewing people with a fear of microphones when wearing blue fox.

If you anytime during this February run in to me holding that metallic machine, please do me the favor…
