For some months I’ve been hooking up with the best of bedmates – Wikipedia.
The very last thing I do before entering the kingdom of dreams is taking a firm grip of my iPhone only to let their "Today's Featured Article" playfully caress me and my senses. Satisfaction without snoring, cover snatching or unwanted friskiness.
This ultimate application works as a lubricant for the curious: everything goes in. It fills me up with hot stuff I never knew I was interested in, for example the old Plank Roads of New Jersey, deceased Australian cricketers and since 55 years shipwrecked Brazilian battleships.
If it wasn’t for Wikipedia’s nightly pornography I would never know that this little blue bird called Splendid Fairywren is socially monogamous and sexually promiscuous, and that male wrens pluck pink or purple petals and display them to females as part of a courtship.
I would never have known that Honoré de Balzac’s novel La Cousine Bette was first published as a serial in a newspaper, or that 40 percent of Belarus is forested. At certain occasions I go for a second session by clicking one of the links. Then it’s only me in an educational ecstasy together with the Russian composer Rimsky-Korsakov , Mary Suart, or even better - Bloody Mary herself.
Right now there is some fancy story between my sheets just waiting to be read. So sorry, got to go...
